Skipping drum beats and 2 basses dance in counterpoint, signifying …
Summer as a dreamcatcher.
Autumn arrives with percussion as a wake up call… the best friend of loneliness.
Winter a mirror, reflecting the stark realities of nature.
Spring a poet’s muse, unfolding its beauty, it all becomes a tale or renewal.
“Forever and a day When I met you!”

Patrina Morris:
“I was reminiscing on thoughts …. feelings and how you feel when you meet someone special , be it a friend, partner or even one of my beautiful fur babies!
I’m simply saying life is too short, cherish moments , feelings and always love ….
For me “love” is unavoidable … forever in your heart, we find happiness in memories … and basically “feeling good ” x”

Jon Klein:
“In the early stages of the recording we stripped away anything that limited our imagination. The song seemed to be asking us for freedom and subtlety.
Musical elements were kept as minimal as possible, allowing the voices to be centre stage with an electric piano painting light colours. The voices fly and glide around the harmonies as the cymbals and vibraphones shimmer in the open spaces.”

Our working process was very much feelings first, thoughts follow.”

Patrina: “ I wrote this lyric on a rainy late night, a bittersweet reflection on lives surprises… in response to a musical postcard from London“

Honest lyrics, melodic upfront vocals fused with a solid skipping beat, warm flowing bass merging together with keys and muted jazz trumpet complete the ingredients for a tune that grooves, flows and grows the more you listen to it.

Patrina Morris bringing a romantic summer dance feeling this time …
This month she releases an upbeat single “up so close” the original 1966 vibe mix feat. Brian Jackson.
Brazil meets a touch of Ibiza in this duet.
Recorded in home studios, Brooklyn, Portugal, London and Brazil come together for the first time.

Patrina … we made this in an “old skool” way, before I had even met Brian in person and never released the original version, only an Ibiza remix.
This is the original song which was a work in progress across the seas adding Jon Klein and Octavio Pimento da Sousa to the equation. I love the rawness and simplicity of the track.
It was a starting point for us all as both musicians and friends, and it was a great honour to perform with a legend … Mr. Brian Jackson!
